Description

This Brioche French Toast brings irresistible flavor and simple preparation to your breakfast table. Each slice is a perfect blend of crispiness and softness, making it the ultimate comfort food for any breakfast or brunch occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 ounces brioche
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

Instructions

  • Slice the brioche into thick 1-inch slices.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup or sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  • Dip each brioche slice into the egg mixture for 5 to 10 seconds.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat and cook dipped slices until golden, 3 to 4 minutes each side.
  • Keep finished slices warm in a 200°F (95°C) oven while cooking the rest.
  • Serve immediately with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.

Notes

Use slightly stale brioche for better absorption of the custard mix.
For best texture, use room temperature eggs.
Consider using two skillets to speed up cooking multiple batches.
