  • 12 ounces large raw shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 13.5 ounces smoked sausage
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

  • Season the shrimp with half of the Cajun seasoning and set aside.
  • Sauté the sausage in olive oil until golden; remove and keep warm.
  • Cook the shrimp in the same skillet until pink and opaque, then set aside with the sausage.
  • Melt butter in the skillet, add garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  • Pour in the cream, remaining Cajun seasoning, and spices; bring to a boil and simmer to thicken.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Combine the pasta, shrimp, and sausage in the sauce, tossing to coat well.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
Feel free to substitute with any pasta shape you have on hand.
Adjust the Cajun seasoning to taste for milder or spicier flavor.
