Description

This Cherry Vanilla Iced Latte blends the sweetness of cherries with the creaminess of vanilla almond milk. It’s a simple yet delightful drink perfect for a hot day, bringing together refreshing flavors in just a few easy steps. Ideal for those searching for easy, homemade beverages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cherries, pitted (i use frozen)
  • ½ cup sugar or monk fruit
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup cold brew (or 2 shots chilled espresso)
  • ½ cup vanilla almond milk (i use califia farms)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla almond creamer (i use califia farms)
  • 23 tbsp homemade cherry simple syrup (more or less to taste depending on sweetness preference)

Instructions

  • To make the Cherry Simple Syrup, combine cherries, water, and sugar or monk fruit in a pot over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a slight simmer, stirring lightly and pressing down on the cherries as the sugar dissolves.
  • Once the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture thickens, the simple syrup is ready.
  • Strain the syrup into a resealable glass container, discarding the cherries, and let it cool before use.
  • For the Cherry Vanilla Iced Latte, fill a glass with ice and pour in your desired amount of cherry syrup.
  • Froth the vanilla almond milk and creamer together using a milk frother. This step can be skipped if you don't have a frother.
  • Pour the frothed milk and creamer into the glass, then top it with cold brew or chilled espresso.
  • Mix everything together to reveal a beautiful pink color, then enjoy your drink!

Notes

For a sweeter drink, adjust the amount of cherry simple syrup to taste.
Using frozen cherries simplifies preparation as they can easily be pitted and blended.
Feel free to substitute almond milk with any other non-dairy milk if preferred.
