Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup white chocolate chips
- 8 Oreos, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, and mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently to combine. Stir in white chocolate chips and chopped Oreos.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared cookie sheet, space apart, and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough is important for preventing spreading and maintaining chewiness.
Don’t overmix the ingredients; this keeps the cookies tender.
Adjust baking time based on your oven for best results.
