- 1 large onion, chopped into small pieces
- 1 apple, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons rosemary, chopped
- 1 loaf cranberry walnut bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Olive oil spray or cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
- Sauté onions in olive oil until translucent, then add apples; cook until softened.
- Mix sautéed vegetables with cubed cranberry walnut bread.
- Whisk together egg, cream, chicken stock, salt, and pepper; pour over bread mixture and combine gently.
- Transfer stuffing to greased pan, press down lightly, and spray the top with olive oil.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling at the edges.
