Description

This Cranberry Apple Walnut Stuffing combines sweet apples, tart cranberries, and crunchy walnuts for an unforgettable dish, perfect for your holiday table.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary, chopped
  • 1 loaf cranberry walnut bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  • Sauté onions in olive oil until translucent, then add apples; cook until softened.
  • Mix sautéed vegetables with cubed cranberry walnut bread.
  • Whisk together egg, cream, chicken stock, salt, and pepper; pour over bread mixture and combine gently.
  • Transfer stuffing to greased pan, press down lightly, and spray the top with olive oil.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling at the edges.
