Description

These Easy Dr. Seuss Snacks for Kids are delightful treats made with simple ingredients like sugar cookie dough and pink food coloring. Perfect for parties and fun snacks!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 roll (24 oz) pre-made sugar cookie dough
  • 1 tsp natural pink food coloring (beet powder mixed with water)
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar blend
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Divide the dough into eight equal portions, rolling each into smooth balls.
  • Flatten each ball into oval shapes about ¼-inch thick.
  • Use a butter knife to carve a gentle “C” curve along one long edge of each oval.
  • Mix 2 tsp beet powder with 1 tsp water and lightly brush the mixture over the cookie surfaces.
  • Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar blend on the cookies, especially along the curved edge.
  • Press 3-4 slivered almonds along the curved edge to resemble ear details.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges turn barely golden.

Notes

Ensure the cookie dough is at room temperature for easy handling.
For brighter pink cookies, adjust the food coloring mixture as needed.
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
