Description

This guacamole features an irresistible flavor and is made in just 5 minutes. With creamy avocados, zesty lime, and fresh tomatoes, it’s perfect for chips or tacos at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium avocados
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 small tomatoes deseeded and diced

Instructions

  1. Cut open the avocados lengthwise and remove the pit.
  2. Scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  3. Gently mash the avocado with a potato masher or fork, leaving some chunks.
  4. Stir in the cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice.
  5. For a smoother guacamole, continue mashing; for chunkier guacamole, use a rubber spatula to mix the spices in.
  6. Add chopped cilantro and diced tomatoes, stirring until well combined.
  7. Taste the mixture and add more salt or lime juice if needed.
  8. Allow the guacamole to sit for at least 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.
  9. If preparing ahead of time, cover and refrigerate, placing a pit in the middle and adding lime juice to prevent browning.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the guacamole to rest for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Store any leftovers in the fridge, tightly covered to prevent browning.
Try adding diced jalapeño for a spicy kick.
