Description

This Healthy Cranberry Orange Sauce boasts a vibrant blend of tart cranberries and zesty oranges, perfect for enhancing your holiday meals or your breakfast granola. With simple prep and delightful flavor, it’s your go-to for quick and wholesome recipes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup honey
  • 3 cups fresh cranberries
  • Juice of 12 oranges (about ¼ cup)
  • ½ tsp orange zest

Instructions

  • Boil the water and honey in a medium saucepan until bubbly.
  • Add fresh cranberries and return to a boil. Simmer for about 10 minutes until cranberries pop.
  • Stir in orange juice and zest, cover and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
  • Cool to room temperature before serving.

Notes

Make sure to rinse cranberries and remove any that are mushy before cooking.
If the sauce thickens after refrigeration, add a bit of water or orange juice when reheating.
Consider adding spices like cinnamon for a warm flavor twist.
