Description

These Holiday No Bake Cereal Bars are a festive treat, combining crunchy rice cereal, creamy peanut butter, and sweet chocolate. They’re quick to prepare and perfect for sharing during the holidays.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 3/4 cup holiday sprinkles
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy shelf-stable peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup shelf-stable creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and prepare your workspace with a lined 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • Combine corn syrup and sugar in a saucepan, stirring until bubbling and the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Add peanut butter to the mixture, stirring until smooth and well-combined.
  • Mix in crispy rice cereal and ¾ cup of holiday sprinkles gently until fully coated.
  • Transfer mixture to the lined pan, pressing it down firmly with a spatula to form an even layer.
  • Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, then drizzle over the pressed cereal mixture and dollop remaining peanut butter on top. Swirl gently.
  • Sprinkle with remaining ½ cup of holiday sprinkles and let set at room temperature or in the fridge until firm.

Notes

Ensure the corn syrup and sugar mixture doesn’t boil for too long to prevent hard bars.
Press the mixture firmly into the pan for best results.
These bars can be made gluten-free or dairy-free with suitable substitutes.
