Description

This Horchata Latte (Hot or Iced!) features a blend of creamy almond milk, rice, and warm cinnamon flavors that create an irresistible drink. Perfect for any time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 4 cups almond milk
  • 1/2 cup espresso or strong coffee
  • Sweetener to taste (sugar or syrup)
  • Ice, for iced version

Instructions

  1. Start by rinsing the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Blend the rice with cinnamon and water for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh to remove solids, pressing to extract all liquid.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the strained rice liquid with almond milk and sweetener; stir well.
  5. For hot lattes, heat the mixture in a saucepan over medium heat, then add espresso before serving.
  6. For iced lattes, fill a glass with ice and add espresso first, followed by the rice-almond milk mixture.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness level based on personal preference.
For an extra touch, sprinkle with ground cinnamon on top before serving.
Use non-dairy options if lactose intolerant.
