Description

These Mini Apple Pies are a charming and easy treat, filled with tart Granny Smith apples and topped with a buttery crumble that evokes warmth and nostalgia. Perfect for brunch or dessert!


Ingredients

  • 1 recipe all-butter pie crust
  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare mini muffin tins with cooking spray.
  • Roll out pie crusts and cut into 2.5-inch circles to fit in muffin tins.
  • Peel and dice apples, then briefly cook in boiling water until semi-opaque.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon, then toss this with the cooked apples.
  • Combine crumb topping ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  • Fill crusts with apples, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and top with crumb mixture.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown, then cool slightly before removing.
