- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups butter (softened)
- 6 eggs

- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
- Prepare four 9-inch round cake pans with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the mixture; mix until incorporated.
- Slowly pour in the whole milk while beating continuously until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter equally into four bowls and add a different color of food coloring to each bowl.
- Mix the batter in each bowl until the colors are vibrant and well combined.
- Pour each colored batter into a prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in their pans for 15 minutes before flipping them onto parchment paper to cool completely.
- To make the frosting, beat together the softened butter and confectioner's sugar until crumbly in texture.
- Add vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of milk; beat again until smooth, adding more milk if necessary for desired consistency.
- Assemble the cake by layering the cakes with frosting between each layer.
- Finish by frosting the top of the cake and adding sprinkles.
Notes
Ensure cakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
Use gel food coloring for more vibrant colors in the cake layers.
Adjust the amount of milk in the frosting for a thicker or thinner consistency.
