- 1 box Crispix Cereal (18 oz)
- 2 cups pecans, halved
- 1 cup butter
- 2 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine Crispix cereal and halved pecans.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat, stirring until boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and add vanilla and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the cereal and pecans, mixing gently to coat.
- Divide the mixture between the baking sheets and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute with gluten-free Crispix.
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing.
Allow to cool completely before breaking apart to maintain crunch.
