Description

These Sheet Pan Tacos are packed with irresistible flavor and come together in no time! With just a few simple ingredients like ground beef, cheese, and tortillas, this recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 10 flour tortillas (taco sized)
  • 8 oz shredded cheese (I use sharp cheddar)
  • olive oil spray (or avocado oil spray )

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper and lightly mist it with oil.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the diced onion, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until it's no longer pink. Drain any excess grease if necessary, then stir in the taco seasoning and cook for another 3 minutes.
  3. Fill each tortilla with about 4 tablespoons of the taco meat mixture, sprinkle with cheese, fold in half, and place them on the prepared sheet pan. Repeat this process for all tortillas, then mist the tops lightly with olive oil.
  4. Bake the tacos in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After that, flip the tacos and give them another light mist of oil, then return them to the oven for an additional 10 minutes. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a lighter option, try using ground turkey instead of beef.
Feel free to customize your toppings such as lettuce, salsa, or guacamole!
These tacos can also be made vegetarian by using black beans or lentils instead of meat.
