- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound uncooked shrimp (31–40 count)
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 4–5 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, then set aside.
- Stir in orzo, garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes for 2 minutes.
- Add white wine and cook until evaporated.
- Pour in chicken broth and boil gently for 12 minutes, stirring often.
- Fold in shrimp, lemon juice, and parsley. Adjust seasoning.
- Let sit covered for 3 minutes before serving.

Avoid overcooking the shrimp to keep them tender.
Stir the orzo often to prevent sticking during cooking.
