These Slow Cooker BBQ Meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and easy to make. Ideal for parties or family dinners, they are great for any occasion.

- 1 large egg
- 2 pounds (907g) 93% lean ground turkey
- 2/3 cup (40g) panko breadcrumbs
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 Tablespoon)
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 medium sweet onion, sliced
- 1 and 3/4 cups (420g) BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup (120g) store-bought or homemade Italian dressing
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Whisk the egg in a large mixing bowl.
- Add ground turkey, panko, garlic, oregano, salt, paprika, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
- Roll mixture into 1.5 inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Layer onion slices in the slow cooker, followed by half of the BBQ sauce and Italian dressing.
- Brown meatballs in olive oil for about one minute on each side, then transfer to slow cooker.
- Top meatballs with remaining BBQ sauce and Italian dressing. Slow cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Serve warm, stirring to coat in sauce before plating.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to keep them tender.
Browning the meatballs adds flavor; do not skip this step.
Feel free to add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
