Description

This Snickerdoodle Cobbler combines soft cookie-like crust with gooey apple filling and a drizzle of caramel, making it a delightful, comforting dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 tsp Apple Pie Spice
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 can (21 oz) Apple Pie Filling
  • 1/4 cup Caramel Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare an 8 x 8 pan with non-stick spray.
  • Combine cinnamon sugar from cookie mix and apple pie spice in a bowl; set aside 2 tablespoons for later.
  • Mix cookie mix, remaining cinnamon sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract to form a soft dough.
  • Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan, creating a solid base.
  • Spread apple pie filling evenly over the dough; cover entirely.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough over the apple filling, allowing some filling to show.
  • Sprinkle reserved cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the cobbler.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, tenting with foil at 30 minutes if browning too much.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before drizzling with caramel sauce.

Notes

Make sure the butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
Use homemade apple pie filling for an enhanced flavor.
Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar mixture according to your preference.
