Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
- 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
- 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
- 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup coconut water
Instructions
- Combine the blueberries, peeled lemon quarters, ginger slices, honey, black pepper, and coconut water in a blender.
- Blend the mixture on high until smooth, about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to push the liquid through. For an ultra-smooth shot, consider using cheesecloth.
- Use a funnel to pour the juice into small glasses or shot bottles. Repeat until all the juice is transferred.
- Cover the glasses or seal the bottles and refrigerate to chill before serving.
- Stir or shake the shot before consuming, as natural separation may occur.
Notes
Fresh blueberries work best, but frozen can be used in a pinch.
For a sweeter taste, adjust honey to your preference.
Store unused shots in the refrigerator, and consume within 3 days for optimal freshness.
