Description

These Turkey Meat Balls are loaded with flavor and made quick and simple! Ground turkey combines with fresh herbs and garlic for a delightful meal. Perfect for a healthy dinner or a cozy family gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup plain bread crumbs, or italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 shallots, minced (approx. ¼ cup)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter, grated
  • 1 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 24-oz. marinara sauce, 2 jars
  • 8 oz. angel hair pasta, or any kind of pasta
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • more fresh basil and parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, shallots, garlic, oregano, parsley, basil, ground pepper, and salt.
  2. Using a wooden spoon or your hands, mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Fold in the grated cold butter to evenly distribute it throughout the mixture.
  4. With your hands, shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, making approximately 12 meatballs.

Notes

For added flavor, consider cooking the meatballs in a skillet before adding them to the marinara sauce.
Feel free to use different types of pasta based on your preference.
These meatballs can be frozen after cooking for easy meals later.
