- 1 cup of strong brewed chai tea (about 2 tea bags or 2 tablespoons loose)
- 1/2 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy, like almond or oat)
- 1–2 tablespoons of sweetener (such as honey, agave, or maple syrup)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: A sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish
Instructions
- Heat about 1.5 cups of water until boiling.
- Add chai tea bags or loose tea and steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove tea bags or strain loose tea.
- Cool the chai tea to room temperature or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
- Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener until dissolved.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the sweetened chai tea over the ice.
- Add the desired amount of milk and stir well.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Notes
Experiment with spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for added flavor.
Store leftover chai in the fridge for up to three days.
Adjust the milk amount based on your preferred creaminess.
