- Form heart shapes by angling the slices and pairing them.
- Freeze the apple hearts for 1.5 hours to ensure coating adherence.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat and stir until boiling.
- Remove from heat at 300°F, then mix in red food coloring.
- Dip each apple heart into the hot candy mixture, letting excess drip off.
- Sprinkle with decorations and allow to set before transferring to a baking sheet.
- Once hardened, remove toothpicks and enjoy your creations.
