Treat your kids to these delightful Valentine Chocolate Covered Pretzels. With simple prep and irresistible flavors, they make a perfect sweet snack for any occasion.

- 8 ounces (226g) semi-sweet or white chocolate (two 4-ounce bars), finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
- 4 cups pretzels
- optional: sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Melt the chocolate and oil together using one of two methods: in a double boiler or the microwave. If microwaving, place the chocolate and oil in a heat-proof bowl and stir after every 20 seconds until melted and smooth.
- Dip each pretzel in the melted chocolate, lift it out with a fork, and gently tap to let excess chocolate drip off. Use a toothpick to slide the coated pretzel onto the lined baking sheet and add sprinkles if desired while the chocolate is still wet.
- Refrigerate the pretzels for about 20–30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Once set, store the pretzels in an airtight container and enjoy them within one week at room temperature or two weeks if refrigerated.
Notes
Using finely chopped chocolate helps it melt easily and evenly.
Experiment with different types of chocolate or toppings for variety.
