Description

These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a delightful treat made from vanilla Oreos and cream cheese, coated in white chocolate. They are easy to prepare and perfect for sharing on special occasions. Enjoy this sweet and creamy dessert that brings smiles to every celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 vanilla oreos (about 15 ounces)
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1416 ounces white chocolate melts
  • red oil-based food coloring (optional)
  • sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Place Oreos in a food processor and blend in 10-second increments until fine crumbs are formed.
  • Transfer the cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl and add cream cheese, mixing until well combined. Use your hands for better mixing.
  • Use a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop to shape the mixture into balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet. Roll them into smooth spheres and freeze for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, or use a double boiler over simmering water until melted.
  • If coloring the chocolate, add food coloring gradually to achieve the desired shade once the chocolate is fully melted.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring they are fully coated. Tap off excess chocolate and place back on the sheet.
  • If desired, chill in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes before drizzling additional chocolate or adding decorations.
  • Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet and let the chocolate set at room temperature for about 2 hours.

Notes

The truffles can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Feel free to use different colored food coloring to match your occasion.
Experiment with various toppings like nuts or coconut flakes.
