Description

Chocolate Covered Mint Oreos are a delightful treat that blends the crispness of mint Oreos with rich chocolate. Simple to prepare, they bring a burst of flavor and joy to any occasion. Perfect for gatherings or as a sweet snack!


Ingredients

  • 24 mint flavored oreos
  • 16 ounces semisweet chocolate disks
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 tablespoons green sprinkles

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the semisweet chocolate disks. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and glossy.
  • Mix in the peppermint extract with the melted chocolate until well combined.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Using a fork, dip each Oreo cookie into the chocolate. Lift it out, tapping the fork against the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
  • Place the chocolate-covered Oreo onto the parchment paper.
  • Once all cookies are coated, transfer any remaining melted chocolate to a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with a snipped corner.
  • Drizzle the chocolate over the cookies in a zigzag pattern and immediately sprinkle with green sprinkles.
  • Allow the cookies to sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes until the chocolate sets.
