Description

These Healthy Chicken Pillows offer a perfect blend of creamy chicken and rich flavors, all wrapped in flaky crescent rolls. Enjoy this easy dish for a quick dinner or family gathering.


Ingredients

  • Refrigerated crescent rolls (2 8-ounce tubes)
  • Cooked shredded chicken (3.3 cups)
  • Softened cream cheese (1 8-ounce package)
  • Diced green onion (¼ cup, optional)
  • Garlic powder (½ teaspoon)
  • Unsalted butter (⅓ cup, melted)
  • Italian bread crumbs (½ cup)
  • Cream of chicken soup (1 10.5-ounce can)
  • Milk (½ cup)
  • Sour cream (¼ cup)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare sheet pans with non-stick spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, green onions, and garlic powder until creamy.
  • Unroll crescent rolls, place filling at the wider end, and roll tightly.
  • Dip each pillow in melted butter and coat in bread crumbs.
  • Arrange on pan and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  • In a saucepan, heat cream of chicken soup, milk, and sour cream until creamy.

Notes

Leftover chicken works well for this recipe; just shred it and mix it in.
Feel free to replace cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
You can make the filling ahead of time and store it overnight.
