Description

These cookies blend rich chocolate and hearty oats, making them perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack. Quick and easy to whip up!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine yellow cake mix and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Gently fold in oats and 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  • Press remaining chocolate chips onto the tops of the dough mounds.
  • Bake for 10-13 minutes until edges are set and centers look slightly underbaked.
  • Cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use unsalted butter for better control of salt content.
Allow eggs and butter to reach room temperature for a smoother dough.
Chill the dough briefly if cookies spread too much during baking.
